History

Dave’s Dogs & More began operating a Hot Dog cart on the streets of downtown Columbus a few years ago. Unlike most vendors that you would see downtown, or even at local fairs and festivals, we wanted to try and get the “vending in the park” kind of feel; a place where people could get to know one another over a quick, simple, yet tasty lunch.

The downtown area was offering many challenges, which made it difficult to achieve our goals. So we decided to set up in front of Sears Hardware in Grove City. One day, a gentleman was having casual conversation and mentioned that he wanted to enjoy his son’s birthday party and not have to cook on the grill. He asked if we would be able to set up our cart in his back yard. At that point we decided that this was the market we wanted to pursue.

The very next person who hired us, Mary Mulvany, had us cater her annual family reunion. This allowed her husband to enjoy the festivities rather than being the “grill master”. Mary and her family have recommended us to many people, which has helped us to grow and become who we are today.

We are currently working with families celebrating birthdays, gradations, family reunions, and picnics. It has also been our pleasure to work with churches, schools, Parent Teacher Organizations, Credit Unions and more. Our mission statement has become that of ensuring Quality, Service, and Cleanliness in all aspects of your event, which is why we have grown tremendously since we have started.
